1999 Collings D2H Lefty

Serial # 4961. Loud. That’s pretty much all that needs to be told. Here’s a lefty Collings D2H that has opened up into an astonishing bluegrass machine. The guitar has endless headroom, massively powerful treble and bass response, and is strong right up the neck – and on every string. Its 1-3/4” nut makes for easy runs and comfortable chording, and its soft V neck carve fits just right.

Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood, gloss finished, with typical herringbone appointments. Bone nut and saddle, Waverly tuners. The guitar is in excellent condition, but for a nearly invisible and tightly repaired top crack below the bridge. Though the finish is unworn, the back’s finish has sunken into the rosewood’s pores - but it’s nothing more than a minor cosmetic concern.

Set up in shop, this guitar is Lefty approved by our resident lefty picker. It’s a great sounding box.
