2007 Collings D1AV Varnish
Serial # 14176. Among the best sounding mahogany Dreadnoughts to have ever passed through the store, we present this Varnish D1AV. With a master-grade Adirondack spruce top, scalloped forward-shifted braces, even-grained Mahognay back and sides, 'Vintage Now' neck, and -- of course -- a varnish-finished top, the guitar is truly a force to be reckoned with. It has power, depth, resonance and sparkle, all in perfect balance; a mature instrument with ample headroom and boom, this D1AV Varnish is a phenomenal picker. With the exception of a few minor dings on the top's lower bass bout the guitar is in excellent and unworn condition. Perfectly set-up in our shop, it's a mahogany dreadnaught that you'll want to play for hours at a time. The 'Vintage Now' neck is exceptionally comfortable, featuring a chunky round carve, 1-3/4" nut width and a string spacing of 2-1/4" at the bridge.
