AW Acoustic B2 Cutaway

A student of world-renowned Canadian luthier Michael Greenfield, Bryan Alford recently stopped by the shop with this B2 Cutaway for us to consign. Building under the name AW Acoustic (the A & W are his grandfather's initials) Bryan's guitars appropriate many aspects of the guitars built by his mentor: The layered neck heel carve, magnetic truss rod cover, lattice top bracing and Greenfield's proprietary and distinct western red cedar 'tone halo' back bracing are all suggestive of a Greenfield.

An attractive guitar, it features a Paduak back and sides, Sitka spruce top, Ebony bindings, fretboard, bridge, and headplate with a Sapele neck. The instrument has a balanced voice with rich bass response, good mid projection and thick trebles that make it ideal for fingerstyle playing. This instrument served as Bryan's personal instrument for about a year and shows only minor play wear.

Amboyna burl and Ebony rosette, armrest, European Spruce braces, Gotoh 510 tuners, sterling silver fret markers, bloodwood bridge pins, comfortable C carve neck profile, 16" lower bout width, 4-3/8" body depth, 1-3/4" bone nut, bone saddle and 25.6" scale.
