2017 Lakewood M53 Custom Shop
Built in Germany by the Lakewood Custom Shop, this M-53 Custom features figured cocobolo back and sides, European spruce top, maple bindings to the body and neck, slotted headstock, and gloss finish. Nut measures 1.75” and the scale is 650mm (or just about 25.6”). Cocobolo rosette and headstock overlay, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and pearl logo and fretboard inlays; maple leaf 12th fret markers. The neck has a full feeling D carve and the guitar's Grand Concert sized body fits comfortably. Set up-in shop and in as-new condition, the guitar plays perfectly.
With a well-developed bass end register and a bright top-end, the guitar is well suited to both flatpicking or fingerstyle.
