2016 Waterloo WL-12L Lefty

The left handed Waterloo WL-12 is a lightly built 12 fret L-00, with X bracing, figured maple back and sides, and spruce top. Collings hit it out of the park with this incarnation of their massively popular Waterloo line.

The guitar is exceptionally light, which helps build warmth and darkness into a small body guitar. The maple adds a touch of compression, and the straight X bracing adds punch, making the 12 fret WL-12 an exceptional raggy-blues fingerstyle instrument. Lots of great presence through the midrange, treble power, and nicely articulated bass response. It’s takes a heavy flatpick really well, too, and is a lot of fun as an acoustic lead guitar as well.

A great looking simply appointed guitar, the Waterloo WL-12 features a bound top and soundhole, unbound back, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots, ebony rectangle bridge and bone saddle. Open-geared tuners, ebony nut, and satin sunburst thin lacquer finish. The neck has a mostly round carve with a hint of V, a nut width of 1-3/4” and scale of 24.9” String spacing at the bridge is 2-3/8”.

This factory left handed Waterloo WL-12 is in excellent condition and shows almost no wear. Frets are perfect, finish is free of dings, dents, etc, an the set-up is Collings factory spec.
