2010 Morgan 25th Anniversary OMM
Built in celebration of the legendary Canadian builder's 25th anniversary, the Morgan 25th Anniversary OMM features exquisite tonewoods and beautiful trimmings, a vintage-inspired sunburst finish, and 25th anniversary label.
Highly figured south American mahogany back and sides, master-grade Englemann spruce top, highly figured maple bindings, herringbone top trim and rosette, beveled vintage tor-tis pickguard, and classic Morgan blue purflings. Ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard with pearl star position markers; ebony bridge, bone nut and saddle, ivoroid pins, and gold/black Gotoh Morgan tuning machines. Schatten bridge-plate mounted pickup with soundhole-accessible volume and tone controls.
The guitar is in nearly-new condition, and shows almost no signs of ever being used save for very light playwear to the first three frets.
A very sweet and focused tone that should delight fingerstyle players, the guitar has a strong fundamental, with excellent warmth and overtones through its midrange, and plenty of headroom for a strong right-hand attack. Plugged in, the Schatten pickup delivers a very true amplified tone.
