2006 Collings OM1A SSSB
For many of us, this 2006 Collings Mahogany OM1 has got everything one looks for in a guitar and then some. Red spruce top, a short scale neck with 1-3/4” nut width, sunburst finish, Dalmatian pickguard and a K+K pickup. It's a marvellous sounding short-scale 000 with a dozen or so years under its strings, and it's opened up nicely. Beyond that, it's a well cared for guitar that's in excellent condition.
Gloss nitro finish is in excellent condition, frets show only light wear, no cracks or repairs, and it has just been set-up here at Folkway. Bone nut and saddle, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Waverly tuning machines. Modified-V neck carve is amazingly comfortable and easy to play, while still retaining a vintage-inspired fullness.
