2005 Sergei de Jonge Concert Classical

A professional-level concert classical guitar of the highest order, this de Jonge features quartersawn rosewood with mahogany-laminated sides, a lattice-braced alpine Italian spruce top with "sandwich construction" that employs a micro-bracing inner layer for a light build and increased response.

The instrument is beautifully adorned with snakewood binding, padauk, maple and ebony purflings, spalted maple rosette and a meticulously applied French polish finish. Sculpted Brazilian rosewood bridge, finely carved bone nut and compensated bone saddle. The headstock features bookmatched rosewood headstock overlay, Brazilian rosewood backstrap, and beautifully machined Alessi tuners.

Built with a soundport and fretted with a gently radiused fingerboard, the guitar was designed with both the player and audience in mind. Nut measures 52mm, 650mm scale. Clear tap-plates protect the top on both sides of the strings.

The guitar is in very fine condition, with no cracks, damage, or repairs. There are very minor top scratches behind the bridge, isolated minor scratches elsewhere on the guitar, and others on the back-side of the neck in the first position. The guitar is currently set up with a comfortable action, and we are happy to adjust it to player preferences upon request.

A clean, powerful and balanced guitar with well-defined and strong treble response.

With hardshell case.
