2004 Taylor XXX-BE Brazilian / Englemann

Taylor’s XXX series guitars were built in limited numbers in celebration of the company’s 30’s anniversary. This XXX-BE is a lavishly appointed Grand Concert built of old-growth figured Brazilian rosewood and Taylor’s highest grade Englemann spruce. Only 150 of this model were built and each features a unique numbered label hand-signed by both Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. The guitar features intricate mitered pearl purflings around the top, fingerboard, soundhole, sides and back; ivoroid bindings, and Taylor’s unique 30th anniversary fingerboard inlay in pearl and gold. Slotted headstock with front and back ebony overlays, Waverly engraved tuners and pearl logo. 24.9” scale, 1-3/4” nut.

The guitar is in immaculate condition and is 100% original. There is no fretwear or playwear, and the in-shop set-up offers a light fingerstyle feel. Beyond its incredible beauty and exquisite tonewoods, the guitar is among the best sounding Taylor guitars we’ve encountered. Its aged tonewoods, light build, and short-scale Grand Auditorium body work in conjunction to offer up a full, clear, mature and balanced tone that’s not shy on bass end presence or treble string power.
