2003 Shelley Park Montmartre

Serial # 105. Shelley Park began building instruments in Vancouver in 1991 and has been producing fine guitars based on the designs of Mario Maccaferri and the Selmer company ever since. Her experience as a player and aficionado of the Gypsy Jazz genre has given her a unique perspective and allowed her to produce instruments close in tone and look to their European predecessors.

This Montmartre model from 2003 is based on the guitars of French luthier Jacques Favino, and features rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top that deliver all of the treble snap and pop you would expect with a nice amount of rich mid and taut bass for good measure. An onboard Big Tone pickup allows this guitar to be amplified as well. It's been set up in house and is in very fine condition. The guitar's only flaw is a small, cleanly repaired top crack along the treble side of the fingerboard.
