2003 Marc Beneteau OM Cutaway

Serial #161103. Built with finely quilted makore back and sides and a high-grade red spruce top, this Marc Beneteau cut-away OM offers a deep, complex, mature, and loud tone under a strong fingerstyle attack. Marc's guitars are famous for their power, sustain, and endless headroom and this OM does all that and then some. An astonishingly versatile instrument, the guitar is well suited to most styles of playing, and even takes a flatpick well.

A classy guitar, the OM features ebony bindings, bevel style arm rest, soundport on the upper bass side, ebony front and rear headstock overlays. Gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines, bone nut and saddle, and a cleanly installed LR Baggs iMix pickup system.

Low C neck carve with a nut width of 1-3/4" and a scale of 24.9". The guitar is in lovely condition, and has aged nicely. There is one nearly invisibly repaired side crack on the guitar's treble side, and no other flaws. The tortoiseshell pickguard is an after-market addition. The guitar has been used, and shows fine scratched and small dings in the top, but no significant finish wear or damage anywhere. The guitar is set up with light-gauge strings and an action of 5-7 64ths. There is enough saddle height available to lower the action about 1/64th further.
