1997 Taylor PS14 Brazilian

The Presentation Series has always been the capstone of Taylor Guitar’s model lineup, featuring the company’s finest woods, trim elements, and design. Although much has changed at Taylor through these last 20 years, what hasn’t changed is how the best of what they do goes into a Presentation Series instrument. These are exceptional guitars, with incredible tone and looks, and the best in playability and feel.

This PS14 features deeply hued old growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides mated to a master-grade Engelmann spruce top. The body features a Florentine cut-away and mitered pearl purflings to the top, back, and sides. Similar to Martin’s style 45, the PS14’s pearl inlay surrounds the fingerboard extension and soundhole, and ivoroid bindings border the body, soundhole, fingerboard, and headstock. The fingerboard, headstock and bridge all feature ornate pearl inlays, the back of the headstock features a 3-ply backstrap overlay with Brazilian outer layer, and Gold and ebony Schaller tuning machines complete the guitar with a final touch of class.

The guitar is in immaculate collector-grade condition. The finish and frets show next to no wear of any kind, there are no repairs, damage, or modifications, and the guitar and case are 100% original.

An incredible sounding guitar with a well developed voice, excellent clarity, mid-range presence, and robust treble string response, this PS14 is an exceptional fingerstyle guitar. It shines in DADGAD and other drop-tuning, and has remarkable balance and headroom.

Grand Auditorium body, 25.5” scale, 1-3/4” nut width.

With original hardshell case
