1971 Juan Estruch Classical

Juan Estruch was a family line of guitar builders from Barcelona with origins in the late 1800's. Estruch guitars are not terribly well known outside of Spain, but are mid-level well built instruments nonetheless. This model was bought in Barcelona by its one and only owner, and used seldom through the years here in Canada. It remains housed in its original hardshell case to this day, with the original bill of sale and owner's pamphlet.

Indian rosewood back and sides, spruce top, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle. Traditional fan bracing, mitered purflings and matching tie-block, delicate mosaic rosette, gold plated hand-engraved tuning machines.

The guitar has well repaired cracks along the fingerboard's edge, and along the top and back center seams. There is a long crack through the center of the fingerboard as well. The neck angle is a little bit low, and the guitar plays with concert action and a low saddle.
