1948 Martin 000-28

Serial # 106991. With a warm and clear voice, strong fundamental presence, amazingly even string balance and classic Martin focus, this early post-war 000-28 is a wonderful fingerstyle guitar, and a great choice for the recording studio.

The guitar has an entirely crack-free body with Brazilian rosewood back and sides, and a tapered-braced Sitka top. Original finish throughout, no internal repairs, and recently professionally reset. The guitar's bridge is a nicely made reproduction by our shop with correct footprint and proportions, glued in saddle, and Henkes and Blazer 'Red Eye' pins. Excellent playability thanks to a recent partial refret (first 7) and our in-shop set up. Original 'Patent Applied For' first year Kluson tuners, original nut.

The neck has the classic late 1940's profile with a mostly round carve and ever-so-slightly flattened sides. Nut-width is 1-11/16", and the scale measured 24.9". A very comfortable guitar to play.

With original hardshell case.
