Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy

The new Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy is a Custom Artist model that will be offered in limited production until the end of 2013. Designed in conjunction with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, the instrument combines an interesting blend of features into quite a lovely, unique package. The wood used in its construction is 100% Responsibly Sourced FSC certified, making it among the most environmentally responsible new instruments available.

The extra-deep 00-sized body is build with FSC certified South American Mahogany back, top, and sides, Scalloped European spruce braces, cherry head and tail blocks, and mahogany kerfed linings. The neck is caved of the same FSC mahogany, and attached to the body with Martin's mortise and tenon joint. Fingerboard and small rectangle bridge are black Richlite, and the nut and saddle are bone. The body is completed with vintage Style 18 trimmings ' tortoise plastic bindings and pickguard, simple rosette and purflings ' and finished with a vintage style top sunburst gloss lacquer. Old-style headstock logo, Mahogany headstock overlay and open-geared tuners.

Modified V neck, 1-3/4' wide at the nut, with a 25.4' long scale. Combined with the wide (2-5/16') string spread at the bridge, the neck has a positively vintage feel.

Numbered in sequence, with paper labels each hand signed by Jeff Tweedy.
