1946 Martin 00-17

Serial # 94784. With its dry, snappy, and aged tone, understated great looks, delightfully comfortable neck and perfect set up, this 00-17 is going to be hard to beat. Mahogany topped guitars sound really good, and the world has finally begun to notice!

This early post-war Martin is in very fine condition, and is completely original but for new reproduction tuner buttons, aged bone saddle, and new frets by us. Neck reset and one miniscule top crack (2" long and pretty much invisible, just to the bass side of the soundhole) repaired by our shop. No internal repairs or issues, original nut, full height bridge, and pins. There are dings and scratches typical of a budget-priced 65 year old guitar, but no worn areas of any real note.

1946 necks were fairly chunky in feel, with a soft V profile; this one fits very comfortably in your hand. T-bar neck support adds more stiffness, making this a neck that's just never going to budge!

Quite a lovely guitar, in just about every way.
