2005 Martin 000C Steve Miller

Serial # 1078471, #170 of a limited run of 383 instruments. Label signed by Steve Miller, C.F. Martin IV, and Dick Boak. The 000C Steve Miller Pegasus Signature edition is a tastefully appointed, smartly designed, stage-ready 000. The guitar is constructed of beautifully quilted Honduran Mahogany and quartered Englemann Spruce, with Herringbone top purflings, a pearl rosette, ivoroid bindings, and style 45 back strip. The ebony fingerboard is unadorned but bound in ivoroid, which continues around the headstock as well. An early version of Martin’s Torch inlay further beautifies the headstock’s face; the rear side features the C.F. Martin stamp seen on instruments built before 1934, aged vintage-style tuners, and dart volute. Under the hood you’ll find hybrid scalloped bracing, a dovetailed neck joint, and Fishman’s Ellipse Blend pickup system. Gloss lacquer finish throughout, with vintage toner to the top. With its 24.9” scale, 1-3/4” wide nut, and low elliptical neck carve, the 000C is remarkably easy to play, while the Venetian cut-away allows easy access to the upper frets. The guitar has been thoroughly set up in our shop, and sounds lovely. It’s a responsive instrument, with a fingerstyle warmth and even response. And apart from finish staining to sections of the guitar’s back and fingerboard bindings (from the black velour of the original hardshell case), it’s in absolutely mint condition. With original hardshell case
