1971 Martin D-12-20

Serial #291202. The D-12-20 was Martin's first production 12 string, introduced in 1964. A 12-fret dreadnought body and slotted headstock are the most noticeable differences between the style 20 and its style 18 sister, but the D-12-20 features fancier purflings and backstrip as well. It's a big and deep 12 string, with a voice to match.

Mahogany back and sides, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and Brazilian rosewood bridge, original tuners, nut, frets, and pins. Recent neck reset, newer bone saddle, replacement tortoise-pattern pickguard, and pickguard top-crack repair. No other cracks, no significant finish wear or damage. Nice set-up, easy to play with low action and comfortable neck. 24.9" scale, 1-7/8" nut.
