Martin GPC 18-E
Introduced in early 2016, Martin's GPC-18E borrows the best pages from the Performing Artist and Style 18 playbooks, and combines elements of each into a wonderfully fine sounding, great-looking, stage-ready Martin.
Completely redesigned and simplified for 2016, the guitar's new Fishman Aura VT Enhance pickup combines Aura sampling technology with simplified controls for a streamlined and simple user experience and exceptional plugged in tone.
The guitar is built with Martin's Grand Performer body -- roughly the size of a 0000, but with Jumbo / Dreadnought body depth, and a rounded cut-away. It's a style 18 guitar, and is dressed up as such, with a spruce and mahogany body and tortoise bindings, vintage toned top, Delmar celluloid pickguard, vintage style 18 rosette, and vintage style headstock logo. Open-geared tuner and 30's profile belly bridge finish off the vintage package very attractively. Under the hood you'll find traditional Martin forward-shifted scalloped braces, which is what's making the guitar sound as good as it does.
Modified low oval neck with Performing Artist taper, 1-3/4" width at the nut, 2-5/32 pin spacing at the bridge. Bone nut, compensated Tusq saddle.
