2013 Martin 000-28VS

Serial # 1724330. The new 000-28VS captures the essence of one of Martin's rarest models - the steel string long scale 12 fret 000-28 built in the late 1920's. The combination of the guitar's large body and 12 fret bridge placement make for an otherworldly playing experience. The tone is big, bold, and balanced, with wonderful overtones and incredible resonance.

Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces and herringbone purfling. Ivoroid bound body, zigzag back strip, and pyramid bridge with through-saddle. 12 fret neck with ebony fingerboard, slotted diamond inlays; slotted headstock with old-style logo and Waverly open-geared tuners; bone nut and saddle. Modified V neck carve, 1-13/16" nut width, 25.4" scale.

This example was bought new at Folkway in 2013 and has been very well cared for since. It is in As-New condition, and shows no playwear whatsoever. Beautifully set-up in-store as well.

With 535 Geib Style case
