2012 Martin D-18GE Golden Era

A stunning guitar, this Martin D-18GE features a sunburst-finished red spruce top, pre-war design and trimmings, an incredibly comfortable neck carve with 1-3/4” nut and a 30's soft V profile, and some of the best D-18 tone you're going to have the pleasure of listening to.

The D-18 Golden Era was designed to be a recreation of the company's mid 1930's D-18, and features forward positioned scalloped X bracing, black purflings, cloth side reinforcements, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, bevelled-edge tortoise celluloid pickguard, 30's style long-saddle bridge with black pins, fossil ivory nut and saddle, and Waverly tuning machines. The neck is built with an adjustable truss-rod (unlike the Authentic models) for simplified neck relief adjustment. With 25.4” scale and 2-5/16” string spread at the bridge.

This example is in immaculate condition. It was purchased new from Folkway in 2012 and was maintained carefully. It's just been set-up here at the store and plays perfectly with medium strings and medium flat-picking action.
