2010 Martin D-41 Special

Serial # 1538079. The D-41 Special combines features of the standard D-41 model with those of the Vintage Series instruments, and adds a few lovely extras for good measure. The guitar is a glorious mix of wood and pearl, with a gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer finish to the entire guitar, including the neck.

Forward shifted scalloped-braced Sitka spruce top, master-grade Indian rosewood back and sides, Style 45 snowflake fingerboard inlays and vertical C.F. Martin headstock inlay in abalone pearl. Ivoroid-bound body, headstock, and neck, pearl-dot bridge pins, bone nut and through-style saddle. Polished, beveled edge tortoise-pattered pickguard, gold open-geared tuning machines. 25.4" scale neck, 1-11/16" wide nut, modified V neck carve.

With the allure of its pearl-bound top and neck inlays, gorgeous mix of trimmings and top-grade tone woods, and Vintage Series feel and tone, the D-41 Special is a particularly appealing Martin Dreadnought.

Very gently used, this D-41 is crack-free and in excellent condition. It has a replacement compensated bone saddle, bone nut, and a strap-button added to the heel of the neck in the usual spot.

Set-up by us, the guitar plays beautifully with medium gauge strings.

With original Martin 545E Geib style hardshell case.
