2003 Martin J-40

Serial #918531. With its exquisite rosewood, pearl trimmings, and curvy Jumbo body, the Martin J-40 is an awfully good looking guitar. Pearl style 45 fingerboard and headstock inlays, style 45 rosette and back strip, pearl dot bridge pins, beveled-edge pickguard, and gold hardware dress this one up in style.

Scalloped braced Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, white plastic bindings to the body, fingerboard, and headstock; ebony bridge and fingerboard, one-piece mahogany neck, gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer finish. 16" wide Dreadnought depth 0000-shaped body; round neck with 1-11/16" nut and 25.4" scale.

The guitar is in very fine condition. No cracks, damage, or issues of any kind; the finish is free of playwear, and the set-up is lovely. There are a few very minor dings on the guitar's sides and binding, but nothing else to report on. A 100% factory original guitar.

Excellent tone, big, loud, bold, and open. A classic rosewood small-jumbo voice.
