1974 Martin D-18

Serial #351463. An exceptionally fine 40 year old D-18. Completely original, with beautifully unworn finish, little fret wear, great action, and vintage looks. Essentially crack free, the guitar's only repair is a minor pickguard crack and a nicely reglued 'guard. No brace repairs, original bridge and bridgeplate (bridge is very slightly thinned), original neck set, original nut that's never been removed, and original Grover tuning machines. Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce top.

There's no Brazilian rosewood or ivory on this one, folks, so it's easy sailing across international borders.

A warm and open D-18, this '74 is an excellent strummer and perfect for vocal backup, just like a D-18 should be! Nice and full treble response, deep bass. Sounds a lot more like a 60's guitar than it ought to. Set-up by us.
