1962 Martin D-18

A particularly warm, dark, and open early 60's Martin D-18, and a very fine choice for anyone looking for a vintage mahogany dreadnought that offers up more character than clean, and more subtlety than brashness. Strummers and singers will love this guitar's expressiveness and full voice.

The guitar shows scratches, dings, and dents in moderate quantity, but is in excellent condition. Completely original but for a newer saddle, no internal issues or concerns of any kind, and the original bridge plate is in excellent condition. There are repaired cracks at the pickguard's edges, and a few repaired cracks on the bass side between the waist and lower bout. The neck has been reset, and the action measures 4-6 64ths at the 12th fret; the original frets show light wear. Original finish throughout, original tuners, nut, and pins.

The neck has the compact and fast feel typical of its era, with a nut width of 1-11/16, and a low rounded carve. 25.4” scale, 2-1/8” pin spread. Full height original bridge, full height saddle.
