1935 Martin 0-17

Serial # 59874. It is safe to say that a '35 Martin 0-17 doesn't come any nicer than this. At least none that we've ever seen.

1935 model with no cracks, no repaired braces, original frets, tuners, nut, finish, and pins. The neck has been exquisitely reset, bridge is full height, bone saddle made and installed in our shop. No pickguard curl or crack, nut has never been out, frets show only the slightest of wear. The finish has a few dings and scratches but no playwear. The guitar's only flaws are a pair of very cleanly reglued side/back separations and a pair of 1" long sections of back separation caused by the last brace pushing against the sides at some time in the past. Forgettable stuff, but we like to sweat the small details.

The guitar has an amazing voice. Clear and balanced with amazing sustain, strong bass, and smokey overtones. Not too warm, not too bright. It has martin's best neck carve, with a full-feeling rounded first position and a slight hint of a V. 2-5/16" string spread at the bridge. 24.9" scale, 1-3/4" width at the nut.

With new deluxe hardshell case
