2007 Peter Sawchyn O-2C Mandolin

Serial #00435. A Regina-based luthier, Peter Sawchyn has been making guitars and mandolins in Saskatchewan for over 40 years. This O-2C model was built in 2007 and is Sawchyn's take on Gibson's classic F4. And what a beautiful take it is. Gorgeous figured maple, ivoroid binding, flowerpot inlay and a 'French Violin' finish make this one striking mandolin. Add to that a full, crisp tone with a good level of chop and you definitely have one beautiful oldtime-meets-Bluegrass instrument.

Carved spruce top, figured maple back and sides, pearl 1-1/8" nut, 15 frets to the neck, ivoroid binding on the body, neck and oval soundhole, ivory fingerboard and adjustable bridge, pearl dot inlays, gold Allen cast tailpiece, gold tuners with pearloid tuning buttons and 13-7/8" scale.
