1926 Martin A Mandolin

Serial # 13382. A clean, all-original bent-top Martin A, in excellent condition. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood bindings, ebony fingerboard and bridge, inlaid celluloid pickguard. Waverly tuners, clamshell tailpiece, ebony nut, bar frets. No cracks, excellent setup and playability, perfect fretwork. One brace was cleanly glued in our shop.

The tone of this instrument is very different than the carved top tone that most of us are accustomed to. The instrument is very resonant, woody, and open, and single notes -- particularly the trebles -- sing with a remarkable sweetness. It is a very pretty sounding mandolin.

Round neck, 1-1/8" nut, 13" scale; neck joint at the 10th fret.

With original canvas case
