1959 Gibson J-200N

Serial # A-31783 FON S 752 6. A Gibson J-200 is always an awe-inspiring instrument. Its distinctive features, big body, and fancy appointments stand out in any line-up, while its meaty, thick midrange and bass whomp make it among the best vocal back-up guitars ever built. Elvis loved his -- enough said. Beautiful natural finish, maple back and sides, double-X braced spruce top, moustache bridge, engraved pickguard, multilayered bindings, pearl fingerboard and headstock inlays, gold Grover Rotomatic tuners.

In very good condition, the guitar sports repaired top cracks adjacent to the waist on both the treble and bass sides, and one along the pickguard's edge below the soundhole. There are a few reglued braces inside, sections of reglued fingerboard binding, and not much else. Refret, and a new bone nut and saddle care of Folkway, so it plays beautifully. Good neck angle, tuners work well, neck feels wonderful, and the original finish is nicely aged with a good looking amount of play wear. 25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut.
