1972 Gibson SG
Serial # 776958, pots dated 1972. This instrument was first sold through Long & McQuade in Toronto on June 15th, 1973. Now, nearly 40 years to the day later, its original owner has decided to put it up for sale on our website.
The guitar features a mahogany body with set-in neck, cherry finish, dual humbuckers and black pickguard. It's completely original, but 40 years of love has left this guitar with some mild play wear and worn frets. A minor neck joint separation appears stable and well glued. The guitar is light (6 lb. 8oz.) and plays nicely thanks to a recent set up from our shop.
Comfortable C carve mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot fret markers, large rectangular Tune-O-Matic bridge and three-way selector switch.
