1956 Gibson Les Paul Special

Serial # 610083. With some of the best looking honest playwear we've seen, deadly feel, and monstrous tone, this single cut Les Paul Special pretty much kills. This is the guitar that we've been winding out after the store is closed and our neighbors have left the building.

Completely original TV finished mahogany body, no neck repairs, original frets, nut, plastic parts, and aluminum wrap-around bridge. Original pickups wired to pots dating from 1972, one changed capacitor. Oversized switch plate is covering an enlarged hole in the body, and plastic is old and good looking. Tuners are period correct Klusons with new old-style aged buttons. Grover-sized holes covered by the tuner plates, aged go-back bushings installed by us. From a foot away, it's hard to tell that the tuners are not original to the guitar.

Pickup DC resistances are 8.2 and 9.1 kOhms, guitar weighs in at 7.5 Lbs. If you're hunting for an unbeatable TV Special at budget price this is the one.

With hardshell case
