2013 Gibson Custom Shop J-35

Serial # 13232006. Made as part of a limited run of Custom Shop J-35s for the Chicago Music Exchange, this guitar is a reproduction of Gibson's classic large-bodied, slope shouldered instrument. A YouTube video that the Exchange produced to promote these guitars even features a 'through-the-soundhole' shot of this exact instrument.

Featuring a Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this reissue has the lighter feel of the early 1940's J-35s with its scalloped and hide-glued braces and two tone-bar construction. In 'as new' condition, this instrument sounds great with rich bass response, powerful mids, thick trebles and just the right amount of mahogany overtones. In short, it's a modern-built, vintage-inspired Gibson that is a lot like a J-35 must have been when it was factory-fresh in 1941.

Vintage-style Stew-mac tuners, silk screened 'Gibson' logo, pearl fret dots, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, firestripe pick guard, 24-3/4" scale neck with early 1940's rounded carve and 1-3/4" nutwidth.

With original hard shell case, and all the original case-goodies that came with it from the CME.
