2006 Gibson Les Paul '57 Goldtop Reissue
Serial # 7 61660. This Gibson '57 Les Paul Gold Top reissue VOS is one that does a remarkable job of capturing the essence of those first humbucker-equipped Les Pauls. The guitar is light, resonant, and alive; the pickups are dynamic and breathy, and the neck feel is spectacular. Add to that the guitar's great looks, figured Madagascar rosewood fingerboard, gently aged VOS application, and that gorgeous gold top, and the result is pure Les Paul heaven.
This example weighs in at a fairly light 8.85 lbs -- a nice weight for a Les Paul. The guitar has been played, and there are light buckle marks on its back side, and some small dings around the back's edge. The frets don't show much wear at all.
Set-up is perfect, and the original wiring is intact. The neck has a rounded feel, good depth, and a 1-11/16" width at the nut.
