1962 Gibson J-45

A great sounding '62 Gibson J-45 that's been nicely played-in and has opened-up really well. The guitar features a deep cherry sunburst finish, original thin celluloid pickguard and lovely feeling full-size neck. Original finish throughout, original tuners, nut, and frets. The bridge's adjustable saddle has been removed, the space filled with matching rosewood, and a bone drop-in saddle installed. The plywood bridge plate has been replaced with a 50's style solid maple plate for bettered tone.

Apart from a repaired crack at the pickguard's inside margin, the guitar is without cracks. There are two back braces that have been partially reglued, as is to be expected. Original frets have been nicely dressed, and the guitar is very well set-up. Playability is excellent, with a low action of 4 to 6 64ths at the 12th fret. 1-11/16” nut, 24.75” scale, C carve neck.

With period correct early 1960's hardshell case
