1954 Gibson TG-50 Tenor

FON X8131. Gibson's mid-century TG-50 featured the popular L-50 body mated to a 22.5" scale tenor neck. 16" archtop body with carved spruce top, laminated maple back and sides, sunburst finish, and bevelled-edge pickguard.

The guitar is in excellent condition and is completely original. We've glued a section of the top's center-seam, fit the bridge properly, and set the guitar up with an octave mandolin tuning (GDAE). Playability is excellent, and the guitar looks incredible.

Not something you see every day, the TG-50 is something of a rare bird; built a few decades after the Dixie Jazz tenor banjo era.
