Yanuziello Electric

Joe's electric instruments feature an ultra light chambered hollow body with handmade hardware and custom-wound Lindy Fralin pickups. They are versatile instruments that combine a retro look with modern playability. The body is constructed of a one-piece hollowed mahogany back mated to a bookmatched hard maple top. It's bound in ivoroid with a thick line of celluloid tortoiseshell purfling, finished with a canary-yellow top and subtly sunbursted back, and featuring Yanuziello's hand machined and nickel-plated hardware and hand-cut tortoiseshell pickguard, the guitar is one gorgeous creation!

The pickups are custom-made Lindy Fralin high-output DeArmond-style single coils that offer up the sound of those great late 50's Harmony pickups with modern string spacing and shielding. The bridges and pickup housings are completely machined by Yanuziello himself and designed entirely to the specifications that he requires for these original instruments. The bridge / tailpiece combo is infinitely adjustable, and mechanically perfect. The instrument is finished in a hand-polished gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck profile has a 50's Gretsch-like carve and has that ultra-comfortable round and somewhat chunky feel that us vintage guitar freeks just die for. Quartered rosewood fingerboard is bound in ivoroid, matching the headstock. Ivoroid-button Waverly tuners bejewel the headstock and Joe's logo finishes off the instrument with a final touch of class.

Scale length of 24.75", nutwidth of 1-11/16". The guitar weighs in at a feathery 5.3 pounds. The tone is all vintage - imagine a combination of an early Gretsch Duo-Jet and a Harmony Stratotone, and you'll have a fairly good idea of what these guitars are all about. In our minds they are the ideal - vintage tone, vibe, and feel with the best of modern playability, and tasty luthier-built styling.
