2011 Gretsch 6119 Lefty "Tennessee Rose"

Serial # JT11062339. The Tennessean was another Chet Atkins inspired model from Gretsch and first appeared in 1958. It had one PAF Filter'tron pickup, Bigsby vibrato system, Chet's signature on the pickguard and a cherry finish that tended to fade to orange over time. Cut to 2011 and we see that the model has undergone a bit of an overhaul. The 'Tennessee Rose' name was added in the 80's but the signature remains the same, and one Filter'tron has become two. In fact, the guitar bears a striking resemblance to the 6120 model but in a dark cherry finish.

Minor differences aside, we think this is one pretty cool looking guitar with great 'humbucky' Gretsch tone and looks that kill. Add to that the immaculate condition this lefty is in, and we definitely have a winner. Laminated maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard and adjustable bridge, oversize bound F-holes, Bigsby vibrato and Grover tuners.
