1996 Fender 50th Anniversary American Stratocaster
Serial #2417 of # 2500. In 1996 Fender released several 50th Anniversary editions of their most beloved models in order to commemorate their humble beginnings in 1946. Built in limited numbers, the guitars are uniquely appointed and beautifully built.
This super clean Custom Shop offering features an alder body with figured maple veneered top and back, a vintage sunburst finish, gold hardware, vintage style pickups and a rosewood fingerboard. The guitar weighs in at 8lbs, 7 oz, and apart from a replaced pick guard is completely original. The original guard will accompany the guitar, but has a suntan from the 50th Anniversary Sticker that`s since been removed. All original case candy accompanies the instrument as well.
Set up in shop, this Strat plays perfectly.
