2012 Gibson ES-175

Gibson's Humbucker-equipped ES-175D hasn't much changed much in the last 60 or so years; and it still remains one of the most highly used Jazz guitars in the industry. The formula of a fully hollow 16” archtop guitar with a cutaway and humbucking pickups simply just works… so why change a good thing?!

This example is in excellent shape, save for a minor check in the outermost layer of plywood of the side in the cutaway. These things happen and, apart from the cosmetic flaw that it is, there is no structural concern posed by its existence. The set-up is excellent, frets are in great shape. Strung with its flat-wound strings the guitar has a perfect, bluesy Kenny Burrell tone.

Round neck carve, 1-11/16” nut, 24.75” scale.
