2007 Collings 290

Serial # 2907292. The Collings 290 is a classy and cleanly built take on the 1950's single-cut Gibson Les Paul Special. The guitar features a solid Mahogany slab body with set-in mahogany neck, two Lollar P-90 pickups, a medium-fat C-shaped neck carve, Tone-Pros locking bridge and tailpiece, Sperzel tuners, and gloss lacquer finish. The guitar comes with a plain black truss-rod cover in addition to the 290 cover that's currently on it.

This example shows some signs of being played, but is in very fine condition. Minor finish dents here and there; and a few light scratches are evident on the crimson finish. The frets show just a hint of playwear. Set-up in our shop, the guitar really plays exceptionally nicely. The neck carve is heavenly, and the guitar's subtle contours make for a very comfortable instrument.

Thick, creamy, bright and punchy jaw-dropping soap-bar tone. The 290 is an incredible rock n' roll machine.
