2006 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic

Among the most believable relic jobs we've seen by Fender's Custom Shop, this 1960 Relic Stratocaster is exquisitely finished. Were it not for the guitar's Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and Custom Shop logo on the back-side of the headstock there's a good chance we'd have had to take the pickguard off to look underneath just to be certain it wasn't actually an old guitar! It's perfectly aged; not overly so, and the body's sunburst finish looks nearly identical to the '62 Strat we recently sold.

Mint green three-ply pickguard, staggered pole pickups, lightly aged plastic and metal parts; three position switch, with a spare 5-way in the case pocket. Aged Fender decal logo, bone nut, single string tree, aged Kluson tuners. Slab Madagascar rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays, vintage size frets.

The guitar shows no fretwear and has been carefully set-up in our shop. The original silver tremolo spring hole sticker is still on the bridge.

Weighing in at 7.67 lbs, this Strat is right in the pocket of ideal guitar weight. It's got a noticeably present acoustic resonance and a perfectly carved 1960 profile neck.

Original brown G+G Case with all the factory case goodies.
