2005 Fender Masterbuilt Greg Fessler Stratocaster

Greg Fessler joined Fender's Custom Shop in 1990 and has become one of the company's most lauded Master Builders. His instruments are played and owned by an A-list of the world's most highly regarded players, and are widely considered to be among the best Fenders built.

This Stratocaster features a weight-selected (3.88 lbs) two-piece alder body with '57 contours and an aged 3-tone sunburst lacquer finish. The neck is made from some of the most beautifully figured flame maple we've ever seen on a Fender, and carved with a 1960's Slim C profile. Slab rosewood fingerboard with clay dots, a 9.5” radius, and medium jumbo frets. Fat 50's pickups, parchment "guard, bone nut, and vintage style tuners and decal. The trem block and arm have been upgraded with Callaham parts, the originals are in the case pocket. 7.35 lbs light.

The guitar shows only a little bit of fretwear and has been well set-up here at Folkway. It's a remarkably good sounding Strat with excellent body resonance, an amazing neck feel, and some seriously good looks. There's worn-away finish at the arm contour, and localized pickwear just above the pickguard. The guitar is otherwise in gorgeous and clean condition and, apart from a replacement jack and the Callaham upgrades, is completely stock.

With original hardshell case, with all case goods and COA.
