1997 Gretsch 6120DE Duane Eddy

Duane Eddy is one of the original guitar heroes, famous for his bass-note melodic riffs, his use of lush reverb and lots of tremolo. He's the most successful instrumentalist in rock guitar history, having sold over a hundred million albums over his career. The Gretsch 6120DE was introduced in 1997, three years after he was inducted to the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

A first-year Duane Eddy model, this guitar dates from 1997, and features a pair of Dyansonic pickups, Trestle bracing, gold hardware, Bigsby tailpiece, and a striking charcoal grey burst finish.

The guitar is in excellent condition and has been set-up here at Folkway. Frets show wear consistent of 20 years of life, but appear to have been dressed recently and play well.
