1974 Yamaha SA-90

The SA-90 was one of Yamaha's top-tier electrics, competing directly with Gibson's ES-335 and ES-345 for the spotlight. The SA-90 is built with a double-cutaway semi-hollow 16" wide thinline body of laminate maple, and features a maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard. Gold humbucking pickups, standard Gibson style wiring and controls, and heavy archtop style tailpiece with leather center and angle adjustment.

This example is in very fine condition and shows little playwear to the frets and finish. There are a few craze-lines in the finish, but nothing that really shows off this guitar's four decades. It plays perfectly, as it has been set-up in our shop.

24.75" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width, low-C neck carve.
