1968 Fender Telecaster

A very fine, amazingly clean, and 100% original one-owner early 1968 Fender Telecaster. With a neck dated so early in the year, it's no surprise to see a few 1967 features present in the guitar's build. Maple-cap neck without skunk stripe and finished in lacquer; old-style cloth covered wire, and 'modern' wiring. Thin body finish (looks a lot like lacquer (or lacquer over poly), three-ply white pickguard, F-tuners, black logo, and bone nut.

All solder joint are original, no finish repairs, original frets show less than average playwear, original ashtray bridge cover, knobs, and control plate. The guitar's only flaw is guitar-stand caused finish damage on the bottom/rear body edge.

The guitar has been set up in our shop and plays beautifully. Pickups measure 5.9 and 6.6 kOhms, 8.4 lbs. The case looks to have been carefully painted black; it has the right late 1960's interior, but with a half center-pocket and a 1970's logo added. We're really not sure as to the originality of the case; although it very much looks like a Fender issue.
