1966 Fender Mustang

Serial number 132943, neck dated March 16th 1966, pots dated 1966. A particularly attractive and totally cool Daphne blue Mustang, this '66 is completely original, and complete down the to trem-arm and the key for its original case. It's gorgeous, and a great example of what Fender's was up to in the mid 1960's, just after Leo's sale to CBS.

Daphne Blue lacquer finish, pearloid pickguard, figured maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Two pickups, tremolo bridge, and 24" scale. The nut measures 1-5/8", and the small neck is fast and fun.

The guitar is 100% factory stock, and shows wear to the first 3 frets and an assortment of dings on the body, particularly along the bottom edge. Nut has never been out, frets are level, and the guitar's set-up was just finished up in our shop. It plays well, and the electronics work perfectly.

With original hardshell case
