1959 Gretsch 6125 Anniversary

#32647. The 6125 Anniversary was introduced in 1958 in celebration of Gretsch's 75th year in the business of instrument making. An iconic guitar, the 6125 featured Gretsch's then-new 'smoke green' two-tone finish, the new Filter'Tron humbucker pickup, and a headstock badge commemorating the 75h anniversary of the company.

This example features the sought after combination of a tressle-braced top and PAF Filter'Tron. It's completely original and in excellent working order. The finish has a well developed patina and fabulous look, the neck feel is heavenly, and the tone of the neck-positioned pickup is to-die-for.

The guitar's original pickup surround is cracked and has been replaced (original in the case), there is a repaired crack in the pickguard, and one of the thumb-print fingerboard inlays is replaced. Original tuners, nut, frets, electronics, finish, Space Control bridge, strap buttons, and hardware.

With original hardshell case.
