Collings OM 1 SB Custom
Every guitar we order from Collings essentially requires its own specs, and we've taken advantage of this fact to make sure that pretty much every instrument that makes its way from Austin to Waterloo is its own unique creation.
For this OM1 we specified a German spruce top, shortened the scale to 24-7/8" and finished it off with a gorgeous sunburst. The German top makes this a very responsive instrument, and the short scale provides the player with a more intimate touch and feel. Both characteristics have the guitar lending itself well to finger-style playing.
South American mahogany back and sides, scalloped bracing, tortoise bindings and pickguard, ebony fingerboard and bridge, 1-3/4" bone nut, bone saddle, high-gloss lacquer finish, nickel Waverly tuners and a 24-7/8" scale length.
