2012 Collings D2H
Collings' standard D2H is a store favourite, and our benchmark for good rosewood dreadnought tone. This 2012 example is in near-perfect condition and has been carefully set-up here at Folkway. It has had a couple years to open up and develop, and it has become a rich, strong, and persuasive flatpicker with great mids, lots of cut, and excellent presence.
Sitka spruce top with scalloped bracing, Indian rosewood back and sides, ivoroid bindings, herringbone trim, and bevelled tortoise pickguard. Gloss lacquer finish, ebony board and bridge, bone nut and saddle, Waverley pegs. 1-11/16” nut width, 25.4” scale. No damage or repairs, almost no playwear to the frets and finish and just a few minor dings here and there.
