2009 Collings OM1AVSSSB
It might be a long model name, but it's Collings' code for “Awesome Guitar”. This custom OM1 features a red spruce top, vintage neck carve and bridge with 2-3/8” pin spacing, short scale length, and a sunburst finish. With a 1930's 000-18 as its design inspiration, this Collings OM1 is an exceptional sounding guitar and offers some of the most inspiring vintage-feel in a modern instrument.
A particularly fine sounding Collings, this OM1 has huge headroom and volume as well as a wonderful mix of clean, clear fundamental presence and colorful overtones. It has that dry, spooky, cavernous piano-like nuance we hear in the best guitars of the 1930's, and the bright finish of a modern Collings.
Built and voiced specifically for fingerstyle with scalloped braces and red spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and Style 1 trim. Vintage neck carve with rounded barrel, 1-3/4” nut width and scale of 24.9”. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, nickel Waverly tuners, and bone nut and saddle.
The guitar presents as nearly new, with no fretwear and only the most hard to see wear on the finish.
